Joseph Parker Defeats Dereck Chisora In Rematch Photo 23

Parker has faced almost all the big names in the UK heavyweight scene, most recently defeated veteran contender Dereck Chisora, winning a split decision in the first, carting home the WBO Inter-Continental  heavyweight title and dropped, battered and won a unanimous decision in their second meeting.

Joyce was impressive in his last outing, knocking out German heavyweight contender Christian Hammer in the fourth round. However before his fight winning flurry, Hammer had him at the end of some brutal punches, which could certainly knockout most heavyweights in the division.

For styles, Joyce is an aggressive fighter, constantly coming forward and any fighter willing to stand before him will be at the receiving end of some brutal punches. He tends to gradually wear down his opponents, evident in his amazing performance against the then undefeated British knockout artist Daniel Dobois, whom he gradually worked punished till he couldn’t continue in the eleventh round.

Parker is a more calculative fight with some good ring IQ, he moves very well and combines that with some good combinations that will definitely give any heavyweight a problem. However, Parker is not a finisher and despite owning 21KOs in his 30 victories, he seems to ignore finishing opportunities which is evident in his battles with Chisora, whom he hurt and dropped thrice but failed to capitalise in each of those chances to finish him off.
