ONE On Prime Video 2 Results – Xiong Jing Nan Edges Angela Lee In Brutal Back & Forth Trilogy Battle
Xiong Jing Nan successfully defended her ONE Strawweight title with a unanimous decision over Angela Lee after a back and forth battle in their Trilogy fight on ONE On Prime Video 2 Card Friday Night at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Xiong and Lee have both shared the cage twice in the past, with both sharing a win. Xiong won their first meeting with a TKO (Bodykick) in March 2019, Lee revenged submitting Xiong in the fifth round of their meeting in 2019.
The two rivals gave their all in the cage, each having their success and after the five round action, Xiong (17-3) was favored by the Judges over Lee (12 – 2 ), who had moved up from Atomweight to challenge for the Strawweight title. In Round 1 , Xiong looked to quickly finish Lee, rushing up on the Singaporean American with a flurry and dropping her early in the fight. Lee was in trouble and had to retreat, found a way to survive the round.

Lee looked overwhelmed in the first round and seemed to be without a glimpse of hope but somehow got herself back in the fight by out-grappling Xiong throughout the round and almost finished off the champion with an Anaconda choke. Xiong bounced back from the bad round in three, landed some of her effective striking in the round while Lee reciprocated some of hers. However, the fight remained mostly on foot throughout unlike the round before.
Xiong and Lee both looked fresh going into the fourth round, The champion was consistent with her striking and popped a few good shots on Lee’s face. The challenger was able to get into the fight late in the round, utilizing her grappling after shoving Xiong to the fence. The final round had much more brutal as both bloodie, they traded blows till they were both swollen and threw all caution away, the defense was trash as the chopped themselves away to the final horn.
Xiong with the win, records her fourth straight win while Lee has now lost three in her last five outing.
