Claressa Shields Vs Savannah Marshall Unification Fight Rescheduled For Oct 15

Unified Women’s Middleweight champion Claressa Shields and Savannah Marshall will now collide in a new date October 15th at the O2 Arena in London.

Claressa Shields Unifies Middleweight Division

Shields was initially scheduled to face Marshall on September 10th at the same venue but got postponed due to the passing of  Queen Elizabeth II by the British Boxing Board Of Control (BBBoC) as a sign of respect for the queen.

The news was announced by ggdbdn on Tuesday afternoon setting the ball rolling for one of the most anticipated Women’s Card in Boxing history.

Shields was able to clinch a gold medal twice as an amateur and has been undefeated since turning professional, a record that has seen her rack up world titles in three different divisions, the 154, 160 and 168 pound division respectively. However, only one person has been able to defeat her in her beloved Sport Boxing.

Marshall hasn’t been too prominent or successful as Shields  but has been able to win a world title, retains her unbeaten status. Now, she plans on repeating what only She was able to do as an amateur now as a professional.

Claressa Shields is shuffling between Boxing and MMA, having competed twice already in the MMA Cage. The Boxing three division champion is due to return to MMA competition on Nov 25th. Shields signed with the PFL Championships and after two fights has a record of 1 – 1.

Shields made a victorious MMA debut in June 2021, winning a TKO over Brittney Elkin  but lost her second fight to Abigail Montes via split decision in October of the same year.
