Canelo Vs GGG 3 (Trilogy) Full Fight Video Highlights

Canelo Alvarez has faced GGG twice in the past and emerged victorious just once, a razor thin majority decision, which was as a result of an erroneous scoring done by one of the judges and still wasn’t a decisive win.

Canelo is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Dmitry Bivol and will be looking to come back stronger in his next outing, preferably a knockout victory over GGG would send the exact message to the Fans.

GGG Punches Canelo In trilogy

GGG is 40 years and has lost just once in his very decorated professional career, which is his loss to Canelo. He will be looking to avenge that lone loss but will have to overcome an eight year difference and especially at an age where fighters tend to draw the curtain to their careers.

Their first meeting ended a 12 round draw and many felt the scoring should have gone in favour of the Khazakh. However, the rematch ended in favour of the Mexican despite many feeling it should have gone the way of GGG. The trilogy is more or less a Finale to the rivalry.

Canelo Alvarez has loroked good since their last meeting in 2018, immediately going up two weight classes after to knockout the then long reigning champion Sergey Kovalev in the 11th round to win the WBO Light Heavyweight title. He then went on to unify the super middleweight division after knocking out two undefeated champions in the process.

GGG has however dropped in his level of competition and has failed to impress in those outings. The middleweight division has been his home and this will be his first fight professionally in the super middleweight division. Canelo has adapted to the higher weight divisions and has made the 168 pound division his home.

The Mexican has been used to fighting big punchers of the higher weight divisions recently and has been able to overcome them. Therefore, GGG will find it break through Canelo’s chin, leaving a knockout ending in favour of GGG, probably unachievable.

Canelo will as usual look to walk his older opponent down and probably will aim to get a knockout victory towards the championship rounds but that will also be difficult to achieve as GGG has also been through wars of the nature. The only factor and decider of the fight will possibly be the age difference.
