Terence Crawford Drops Shawn Porter Twice, Knocks Him out In Tenth To Retain WBO World Title

Terence Crawford made the biggest statement of his career with a tenth round stoppage victory over Shawn Porter on Saturday night Mover 20th at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino’s Michelob ULTRA Arena.
The reigning WBO Welterweight champion, who has held titles at three different weight at two other weight classes, silenced his critics dropping Porter twice with a the second knockdown being the eventual stoppage in the tenth round.
Porter was Ok after the second knockdown and was ready to take the 10 count from the referee but his father and trainer waved the fight off to avoid his son from taking more damage.
Porter who has never been stopped throughout his professional career got stopped for the first time. Crawford, on the other hand, retained his WBO Welterweight world title with his unbeaten record intact, adding another stoppage victory to his record which further solidifies his position as one of the best pound for pound fighters in the planet.
Crawford connected a left hand 15 minutes into the tenth round that sent the former two time Welterweight champion on his trucks. Porter answered the county and tried fighting his way out of trouble from the blood thirsty Crawford.
Porter came out aggressive again and looked to land more telling punches as he did in the early round but that only invited him to another hard shot from Crawford, which sent him on his way to the canvas again and to make sure of the knockdown, Crawford connected another hook that met Porter on his way to the canvas.
Porter wasn’t happen and was very open with his frustration, pounding his gloves on the canvas numerous times before making his way back to his feet before the referee counted up to 10.
