Anthony Dirrell KOs Marcos Hernandez With Brutal Uppercut
Anthony Dirrell proved on Saturday that he is still has what it takes to become a champion with a four round demolition of Marcos Hernandez on Canelo Alvarez Vs Caleb Plant fight card on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.

Dirrell needed just four rounds in the scheduled 10 round bout, knocking Hernandez out with a brutal Uppercut 22 seconds into the fourth round to get back into winning ways. Dirrell was two fights without a win before the fight, having lost his World title to David Benavidez and followed that up with a draw in his fight with Kyrone Davis.
Dirrell (34-3-2, 26 KOs) at 37years, had previously contemplated retirement due to age and the fact that his two losses made him less confident of getting a title shot.
Dirrell and Hernandez (15-5-2, 3 KOs). both stage a competitive fight for the first three rounds but it was evident, the former world champion was having an edge, connecting harder shots that gradually broke down Hernandez.
The fight ended abruptly after the uppercut that sent Hernandez flat on his back, he was able to beat referee Celestino Ruiz count but couldn’t remain balanced on his feet. This forced the referee to quickly ended the fight.
