WBC Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury and his Challenger Deontay Wilder both met in Wednesday evening to answer questions ahead of their third meeting on Saturday, October 9th at the T-Mobile Arena.
Tyson Fury will be looking to defend the title for the first time since taking them off Wilder’s shoulders back in February 22nd 2020. Tyson Fury was able to drop Deontay Wilder twice in the fifth round and seventh round before the the fight was ended in the seventh round by Wilder’s corner, who got tired watching a onesided beat-down.
Their first meeting ended a controversial split draw after Tyson Fury out-boxed Wilder over 12 rounds but was at the end of two brutal punches from Wilder. In the ninth round and in the twelfth round and both sent fury to the canvas, with the latter being a near knockout.
The two giants will look to settle the their scores in the ring on Oct 9th, after Wilder made sure Fury’s plans to evade the third fight were unfruitful with a lawsuit at the court of Arbitration. The Judge rules in favour of Wilder.
