Unified Heavyweight Champion Oleksandr Usyk has his sights set on a Unification fight with whoever emerges victorious in the upcoming fight between WBC titlist and Deontay Wilder on October 9th.

Usyk, who will first grant Anthony Joshua a chance to reclaim the the titles, he rudely ripped off his shoulders with a stunning unanimous decision victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on September 25th.

The former Cruiserweight Champion Usyk entered the fight an underdog but ended up dominating Joshua through twelve rounds to win the IBF, IBO WBA WBO Heavyweight World titles with a Boxing display, second to no other.

Usyk’s promoter Alexander Krassyuk also made known that Usyk is comfortable with the Rematch being fixed for the first quarter of next year with Joshua, who has exercised an immediate rematch clause.

“The rematch was written in our contract,” Krassyuk said on Tuesday at a press conference in Ukraine.

“When we were talking to Oleksandr about the rematch, he wasn’t upset. On the contrary, he was happy. He was glad and said: ‘Oh, cool! I will beat up Anthony twice!’

“The approximate time that Eddie Hearn announced at the press conference after the fight, February-March, is indeed true.”

Usyk has mostly fought on the road and was very clear during the build up that he was going to defeat Joshua in his home. However, he has expressed interest in staging the rematch in his hometown Kiev but that becomes the only conflicting issue as Joshua and his handlers will love the fight to be staged in the UK.

Usyk has plans of going in for the Undisputed fight with whoever emerges victorious in the WBC Heavyweight championship fight between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder, which takes place on October 9th.

However, Usyk’s primary focus is his first defence against Anthony Joshua early next year before he goes in for his second career undisputed championship fight.

“We can talk about the unification of all the belts only after Fury will have a boxing match again Wilder, and they determine the champion, and after our rematch with Anthony,” Usyk said.

“Of course, I would like very much to have this unification match.”
