The fight which was also confirmed by Mayweather Promotions isn’t officially announced yet, leaving Showtime and Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) in a position where they can’t accept it deny the legitimacy of the information.
The fight was easy to make as they are both promoted by Mayweather Promotions and adding with that is their lofty rankings in the WBA. Rolly held the WBA Interim Lightweight title which got eliminated by the WBA to reduce the number of titlist in the division. The move promoted him to the No. 1 spot for the title held by Davis.
Davis heads into this fight on the back of an eleventh round knockout victory over Mario Barrios in his 140 pound debut and this will be his third consecutive pay per view headliner. Davis knocked out Leo Santa Cruz in the sixth round of his first Pay-Per-View Headliner.
Rolly will be coming into this fight on the back of two consecutive seventh round knockout victories over Anthony Yigit and Avery Sparrow and both aren’t really in Davis calibre. However, Romero has been calling out Davis on social media and slandering the impressive rising star.
However, Romero now has the opportunity to every thing he has promised to do both on social media and trash talk against Davis when they both square off at the end of the year.
