David Avanesyan made a quick work of Liam Taylor, finishing him off in two rounds to retain the his European Welterweight Title in the main Event of the debuting Boxxer Show on SkySports, which took place on Saturday night at the SSE Arena in London.
Avanesyan wasted no time in his quest and made his intent known for the opening bell, then with a killer mindset overpowered Taylor, walking him down to the stoppage
Taylor tries to hold off the Champion with straight shots from the opening bell but was Avanesyan kept coming and he was forced to trade. Avanesyan connected streaifht shots and hooks that through Taylor off balance.
The fight was almost over as Taylor, unable to answer to the right and left hooks he was receiving, was forced to touch down after receiving in of the later towards the end of the first round.
Taylor was force to trade again in the second round of the fight despite showing signs of wanting to box . Avanesyan connected the best punches in the exchange and initiated the ending sequence of the event, which was a left hand, a right and another left hand that sent Taylor to the ropes and that prompted the referee to jump him and stop the fight.
Taylor was unhappy with the stoppage but the referee probably might have seen enough as Taylor wasn’t staging any good reply for the numerous punches he was recieving from the European Champion.
The Fight Card was initially scheduled with a super middleweight clash between Chris Eubank Jr and Anatoli Muratov but that was called off on Fight Night By the British Boxing Board Of Control (BBBoC) after pre-fight test showed initiated Health concerns for Muratov.
Avanesyan has now stopped two English fighters in his last two bouts, He came into the fight on the back of a stoppage victory over Josh Kelly in the same venue back u. February.
