Jessica Andrade was in no level with Cynthia Calvillo and needed less than a round to finish off the Latter on UFC 266 fight Card which took place on Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena Las Vegas.
The Flyweight bout served as the Main Card opener, Andrade (22-9 MMA, 13-7 UFC) ended the fight with punches at exactly 4:54 of Round 1, when he punched Calvillo (9-3-1 MMA, 6-3-1 UFC) to the stoppage.
Andrade seemed very focused on getting the Calvillo out of the Cage early and went straight to her, landing some vicious punches that made Calvillo shrink and with the awkward reaction Andrade upped her output and the retreating Calvillo.
Andrade kept landing combinations on Calvillo who kept retreating to she was at the cage, more combinations from Andrade, was enough to leave Calvillo vulnerable and all her defences were dropped before the referee stepped in to stop the fight.
Andrade with the win bounced back to winning ways after her unsuccessful attempt at a Flyweight gold held by Valentina Shevchenko, she is now looking for a trilogy fight with Rose Namajunas. She is now 2 – 1 since moving to the UFC Flyweight.
For Calvillo, she is loosing for the first time via strikes and is presently on a 2 fight loosing skid . Her first career loss was in the hands of Katlyn Chookagian, which took place at UFC 255.
