Nuno Espirito Santo and his Spurs got handed their second straight defeat by the invincible looking Chelsea FC at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in Premier League Match Day 5 on Sunday evening.
Tuchel’s Chelsea scored three goals against Spurs who haven’t conceded a single goal at home this season and having managed a point against Liverpool despite going down to 10 men, remain unbeaten this season after 5 games this season.

Chelsea FC looked to makes a quick start to the game playing Lukaku in early but the Belgian got ruled offside. Tottenham took over form then and were able to dominate the game creating chances but failing to make good use of those opportunities.
Chelsea front three led by Lukaku were able to get behind the Spurs defence three times in the first Half, with three chances to open the scoring but all those ended with excellent saves and defensive excellence. The two sides weren’t able to break the deadlock by half time.
Chelsea switched things up at halftime and Mason Mount was replaced with N’golo Kante in the midfield. The resulting effect was a big chance and a save drawn by Marcus Alonso 2 minutes into the second half. Marcus Alonso half volley was accurate enough but showed signs of improvement.
The Blues finally took the lead four minutes into the second half, when Marcus Alonso’s corner was converted in by Thiago Silva and by the Hour mark, Chelsea were up with two goals. N’golo Kante was the man in the scoreboard this time. Kovacic played Kante the ball, who has space to shoot from 25 yard and the Frenchman fired but with luck in his side the ball deflected off Eric Dier to double the lead.
Antonio Rudiger added salt to Tottenham wounds in the added time. The Spurs seemed to have issues dealing with set pieces and filling to clear another corner led to the combination of Timo Werner and Anthonio Rudiger with the latter playing in slow shot to make the score 3 Nil at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before the final whistle.
