Unified Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua has spent some time out of his busy schedule to predict the upcoming trilogy fight between WBC Champion Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder, which takes place in Saturday night, October 9th at the T-Mobile Arena.
Joshua, who is also preparing for his mandatory title defence against Oleksandr Usyk on the 25th of September, believes that Deontay Wilder (42-1-1, 41KOs) is very motivated for the fight and that translates to being dangerous as compared to the distracted Tyson Fury (30-0-1′ 21KOs).
Fury has had a great career, which includes winning all the Heavyweight titles in his battle with Wladimir Klitschko back in 2015 and also his last outing which was a seventh round Knockout victory over Deontay Wilder. However, Fury was almost knocked out by Deontay Wilder in their first meeting and Joshua thinks a very focused Wilder will achieve that in their third meeting.
“He seems obsessed like he really wants it. He seems really focused on the task ahead. A focused man is a dangerous man, and he’s focused. It has to be a knockout,” said Joshua to The Sun in predicting a knockout victory for Deontay Wilder over Tyson Fury on October 9th.
“Wilder might get the decision. Actually, no. It has to be a knockout. One of them will knock the other out,” said Joshua in making it clear that Deontay needs a knockout to get the win over Fury.
Wilder has been very focused in his training and presently doesn’t care if Fury cheated in the first fight or not but has made clear he is going to year fury apart. Fury in the other hand has not been doing too well according to reports and there is information circulating that he is being bilust up in sparing by young heavyweights Jared Anderson and Efe Ajagba.
Joshua will love to face Fury after his fight with Wilder but from the look of things Fury might want to detail their mega all British Unification fight for a fight with Chisora or Dillian Whyte. Joshua has promised to put Deontay Wilder in his plans if Fury looks elsewhere.
