Brandon Moreno Punches Deiveson Figueiredo

Brandon Moreno will defend his UFC Flyweight title against former champion Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC 269 set to take place on December 11th. The bout hasn’t been officially announced but a source close to the situation hinted Us of the development.

The event which will be headlined by Amanda Nunes Bantamweight title defence against Julianna Pena is still to have a venue or location. However, the trilogy fight between the two familiar foes will join the card as the second title fight on the card.

Moreno and Figueiredo have both shared the ring twice already this year and this will be their third meeting in the space of a year, which will be the quickest trilogy meeting in UFC’s History.

Figueiredo and Moreno both fought to a split draw in their first meeting back at UFC 256, a bloody battle that stood out as one of the best fights in 2020. They both met again at UFC 263 and this time Moreno defeated Figueiredo to become the first Mexican UFC champion.

Moreno submitted Figueiredo with a rare naked choke in the third round making the first defined result in their meetings. However, Moreno will be looking to close the case with Figueiredo in his first title defence.
