Former Olympic Silver Medalist Mark Madsen picked up a well deserved Split decision victory over Legendary grappler Clay Guida in the Co-Main event of UFC Vegas 34 (A.k.A UFC On ESPN 29) on Saturday night at the UFC Apex Facility.
Madsen, who had to go through a lot to ensure his return to the cage, did his best which ended up enough to get a split nod by the Judges decision (29-28, 28-28, 30-27).
Guida actually avoided taking the fight to the canvas and largely fought against Madsen on foot as he aimed to explore the underdeveloped MMA part of the Former Olympic medalist. Avoiding the clinch, Guida connected big shots from distance.

Medsen and Guida both had successes with their leg kicks, while the Latter, built on his big shot earlier in the round , which briefly stunned Madsen.
