Sean Strickland made fighting Uriah Hall look easy, dominating and earning a wide unanimous decision in the main event of UFC On ESPN 28 main Event on Saturday night.

Strickland (24-3 MMA, 11-3 UFC) did a job on Hall (17-10 MMA, 10-8 UFC), outworking him to a 50-44, 50-45 and 49-46 score on the Judges scorecards. He has now accumulated five straight victories and snaps Hall four fight winning streak.
The Middleweight bout served as the main event of the UFC Vegas 33, which topped fights that streamed on ESPN & ESPN+.
Hall, who went in with expectations of landing a title shot with a victory over Strickland, started out pumping his jab, Strickland reciprocated with a jab of his own and soon was able to forces Hall off his game plan through most of the first 90 minutes. Hall connected a few of his own and a calf kick while trying to mix things up.
Strickland went ballistic in the second round and in just a minute in, backed Hall up with a combination, he tried switching for a takedown but somehow decided to leave Hall on his feet and hanging on the fence. Hall later worked his way back to the centre of the cage and changed the fight with another level of aggressiveness.
Hall was better in the third round but Strickland, had an answer for that, connecting a shot to the to Hall’s ear then scored a takedown immediately. Taking the top position, Strickland pounded Hall, Blow after Blow, looking more like the ground and pound would spell the end till Hall popped back and tried to maneuver back to his feet but he was held down by Strickland. Strickland scored another takedown after both made it to their feets and with a half guard Strickland dominated and towards the end of the round looked for a rear naked choke but failed as Hall got saved by the bell.
