Preview, Odds And Prediction of Edson Barboza Vs Giga Chikadze lightweight UFC On ESPN 30 Headliner taking place this Saturday at the UFC Apex.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship pits two Brutal Knockout artists Edson Barboza and Giga Chikadze in an anticipated Featherweight battle that headlines UFC On ESPN 30, this Saturday at the UFC Apex.
Giga Chikadze looks to start his MMA career with a 7-0 record in the Octagon, ranked 10th and will look to take out the No.9 ranked Barboza to get better standings in a crowded featherweight division.
However, Barboza is much more experienced than the glory standout and somewhat certain with their records that one will be leaving the Octagon with assistance after their meeting on Saturday night.
Chikadze ends his fight abruptly and has a trademark liver kick that brings down any opponent but Barboza always wears his opponent down before finishing them off. However, both are very bad kickers and this fight might boil down to who lands the telling blow first.
Both fighters are coming into this fight riding on the back of brutal knockouts. First Chikadze announced his arrival among the big boys with a vicious liver kick that finished off Cub Swanson in the first round of their fight back on May 1st.
Barboza earned a fight of the night KO victory over Shane Burgos 14 days later at UFC 262. However despite riding on an 3-5 record in his last eight appearances, has beaten better oppositions than Chikadze, with notable victories over Beneil Dariush, Gilbert Melendez, Anthony Pettis, Paul Felder, Dan Hooker and Burgos during his time at lightweight.
Barboza’s losses have been against top opposition which includes losses to Dan Ige, Felder, Justin Gaethje, Kevin Lee and Khabib Nurmagomedov. Chikadze, who rides on an eight fight winning streak has only defeated one top opposition Cub Swanson.
