Liverpool FC picked up their second victory of the season with a 1 – 0 victory over Burnley in their first Premier League game of the season, cruising to the top of the EPL standings with six points as they await other Weekend Fixtures.

The Red’s declared their intent from kickoff and Jota was able to register an attempt in the fourth minute and despite heading wide, the attempt announced Jurgen Klopp’s Men would settle for nothing less than a win.

“The Clarets” showed their dedication to the game plan by trying their best while defending Liverpool’s consistent attacks, then ones that’s successful, stage a very quick counter attack and try your best to get the ball to the Liverpool defence and it worked so well for Burnley till Liverpool eventually took the lead at the 18th minute.

Burley were enjoying a good spell of possession but lost the ball and Tsimikkas picked the ball up and with enough time, played in a well timed cross, that picks out Jota, who ran in behind Mee and Tarkowski to head in the opening goal.

Burley staged a big protest to Liverpool’s dominance and seeked a quick reply after the Goal after testing the Liverpool defence with a couple of Balls, it was the “Reds” that found the net again in the 26th minute. The celebration was on but the goal got ruled out by VAR as Mo’Salah was offside by Elliott’s Pass.

Burnley looked to quickly level the game a minute into the second half. Lowton was able to beat a few challenges from by Liverpool defenders, then plays a low pass to Barnes, who finished the ball past Allison. However, that goal too was ruled out by the Flag.

After the early show by Burnley, Liverpool basically took over the second half and doubled their lead with a wonderful finish from Sadio Mane at the 69th Minute. Van Dijk played Elliot on with a long diagonal ball and the youngster played Alexander-Arnold, he plays in Mane and with lots of space, finished beyond pope to double the lead.
