YouTube Star turn Boxer Jake Paul had in the past considered UFC Welterweight contender Jorge Masvidal a friend but thing have gone south since the latter dropped his prediction for his upcoming fight with Tyron Woodley.
Paul and Masvidal have ones been so close that Paul worked together with him ahead of his fight with Ben Askren, whom he knocked out in the first round of their fight earlier this year, this was due Masvidal’s 45 second first round knockout of Askren in their UFC fight.
However just six months after, Jake Paul is clearly not friends with Masvidal anymore and to be frank, they are presently bitter enermies that could end up fighting themselves sometime in the future. That actually depends on how the Paul – Woodley fight pans out.
Masvidal recently made a prediction for the fight and in it, backed fellow UFC fighter Tyron Woodley to knockout Jake Paul, which didn’t sit well Paul, who expected a backing from him.
“I wasn’t surprised by Masvidal,” Paul said Wednesday in Cleveland. “He has the same managers as Woodley and the guy’s kind of an airhead. Let’s be honest, Masvidal’s not smart. Does anyone listen to a Masvidal interview and go, ‘wow, that guy’s intellectual and he’s a smart guy and the way he talks, he’s very well spoken.’ I don’t think anyone says that.
Paul, who collides with Woodley in a ShowTime Pay-Per-View on August 29, was quick to point fingers at Masvidal’s knockout loss in the hands of UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman.
“He’s a street fighter, gangster, who got knocked the f*ck out in his last fight, so maybe he’s losing a couple brain cells.”
Paul believes that being a friend with Masvidal is supposed to mean total support and because of his prediction, Masvidal presently belongs to his enemy category. Without any form of appreciation from the Youtuber, insults were heard and continued afterwards on their twitter accounts.
“Hoes will be hoes. B*tches will be b*tches,” Paul said of Masvidal “If you want to switch up and act like that one moment he’s my friend, texting me saying, ’Let’s train, let’s do a video together. You come to my bakery down the street I want to do a little thing with you.’ Then, oh, snap, all of a sudden he wants to switch up? That’s not how I was raised. Not here in Ohio.
“If I’m your friend, I’m your friend. If he wants to switch up, hoes will be hoes.”
