The Ciryl Gane fairy tale is taking everyone by surprise and the effect is already being felt long before his fight with UFC Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou has a Date or Venue.

The UFC Interim heavyweight champion Gane has opened up a slight favourite over Ngannou. According to BetOnline, Gane is listed at – 122 ahead of his fight with Ngannou, who is listed at + 102 and this fight must take place within a year’s time for the Odds to be valid.

The UFC President Dana White has expressed in booking Gane with the Champion Ngannou in the Post Conference of UFC 265 as soon as possible but that seems a little impossible as the champion isn’t done with his time off.

The Unbeaten Interim champion Gane stunned the MMA community in the Main Event Of UFC 265 this past Weekend, by totally out-classing Top Contender Derrick Lewis to a third round stoppage, thereby picking up the Interim title. With just 10 fights, Gane has taken out almost all the top contenders in the division including of Lewis, Alexander Volkov, Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Junior dos Santos, still retaining his unbeaten record.

The Champion Ngannou is very familiar with Gane, as they both trained and were Training Partners in the same Gym before his relocation from France. He captured UFC gold with a stunning second round knockout of Stipe Miocic at UFC 260. Ngannou has since taken out top contenders with stoppage victories (KO/TKO) in a long list that includes over Rozenstruik, dos Santos, Cain Velasquez and Curtis Blaydes. Ngannou is on a five fight winning streak.
