British contender Joe Joyce will fight Carlos Takam on Saturday night as he looks to break into the world heavyweight scene after clearing out all local opposition. Joyce – Takam will take place on Saturday 24th of July at Wembley, London.

Joyce took out his biggest local rival Daniel Dubois in his last outing, dominating him to stoppage increasing his record to 12 fight without a loss. The former title challenger Taman will definitely be the toughest test in his surging career and a win for Joyce will definitely place him among the top contenders in the heavyweight division.

The 40 year old Takam, lost out in the biggest stage of his career when he lost to Anthony Joshua back in 2017 but has gone on to win four fights in a row which includes, a win over Jerry Forest last year’s summer. Takam really wants to let his British fans understand he’s back.

Carlos Takam: “It’s going to be a big test for Joe Joyce.

“For me it’s not a test, because I’ve fought other people like [Alexander] Povetkin, [Anthony] Joshua, I’ve fought a lot of big names. So, for me it’s just to prove for my UK fans that I’m back and I’m a problem in that division.

Joyce will be bringing his WBO International, WBC Silver and Commonwealth Heavyweight championships to this fight and a risk of losing his bloated ranking
