Chelsea looked to stage a big fight at the King Power Stadium with Frank Lampard staging a tough side they had plans of at least making it close to the champions League qualification spots at the end of 90 minutes but that was all they had as things went south as early as the fourth minute.
Madison and Albrighton combined down the flank to cut out Chelsea and Albrighton tried finding Barnes, however the winger couldn’t get a clean shot but left the ball fizzling towards Ndidi, who fires through a very crowded Chelsea defence to score at the top corner.
Leicester City had a few opportunities to double the lead after the goal with Madison hitting the cross bar in the 16th minute before Chelsea came to life, drawing two saves from Schmeichel.
There was a Penalty call in the 38th minute after Evans slides in for the ball but instead catches Pulisic right and the referee reluctantly pointed to the spot, only for the decision to be overturned by VAR and a Freekick was awarded instead.
Chelsea were now give a steep hill to climb two minutes after as a long ball from Albrighton found Madison close to the Chelsea’s box and after a good control, was able to slot the ball past Mendy to give the host a two goal lead.
Leicester City went at it again in the second half and got a ball in the net in the but that was called off as the flag was raised. Chelsea threw their hopes in with a double substitution. Brought in Timo Werner and Ziyech, which almost paid off in the 87th minute as Werner turned in after a set price situation but that was also overturned for offside.
Leicester City finished the game winners and now the League Leaders with 38 points. While Chelsea sit 8th, nine points behind the Foxes after their 18th outing.
