Atta – McGregor And Pacquiao Beats Floyd Mayweather Jr In Rematch

Conor McGregor Floyd Mayweather Jr. 2017

Conor McGregor was defeated by five division champion Floyd Mayweather back in 2017. However, his manager Audi Atta believes that the Irish star could avenge the loss, if they meet in a rematch.

McGregor was stopped in the tenth round of the fight after Mayweather forced a stoppage with a flurry. The TKO victory also meant, Mayweather retired with a clean 50-0 record.

McGregor was quick to complain after the fight that Mayweather, had switched from his usual defensive style to an aggressive style. He claimed his training was based on the fact that Mayweather Jr was a defensive fighter and that the switch in his fighting was the bases behind his victory.

Mayweather Jr isn’t interested in making a rematch with the Irishman despite the constant call for a rematch by the former UFC two division champion. Since defeating McGregor, Mayweather Jr. has been involved in one exibition bout against Tenshin Nakasuwa, who he knocked out with ease in the first round of a Risin FF Card back in December 2019.

Mayweather Jr is set to be involved in another fight with YouTube star Logan Paul in February but this doesn’t really go well with hardcore boxing fans and Atta believes Mayweather Jr. is cherry picking his opponents in order to avoid tanishing his unblemished 50-0 record.

Reigning WBA ‘Super’ Welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao also lost a 12 round unanimous decision to Mayweather Jr. back in 2015 but hasn’t been able to land a rematch with the undefeated fighter. However, Atta see’s both Conor McGregor and Manny Pacquiao defeating Mayweather Jr. if given the opportunity to fight in a rematch.

“I do believe Conor vs Floyd again, he beats him. I don’t think Floyd ever takes it,” Attar told Dubai Eye 103.8 Sport:

“Floyd’s taking YouTubers for a paycheck right now. Floyd could take Manny Pacquiao in a rematch, you don’t see him taking that fight. Floyd could take Conor McGregor for a rematch, you don’t see him taking that fight.

“But he’ll take a Logan Paul. He’ll take the young Japanese fighter he fought previously. I think that’s what he’s going to do, Floyd knows he would lose if he took on either Manny Pacquiao or Conor McGregor.”

Floyd Mayweather Jr will fight YouTube star Logan Paul on February 20th at a yet to be announced venue. The fight will be carried live on Fanmio Pay-Per-View.
