Chelsea FC fell to their first successive defeat of the season in the hands of Wolverhampton (Wolves) In their Tuesday visit to the Molineux. This adds sore to their wounds a next could cots them their title race.
Chelsea FC lost 1 Nil to Merseysiders Everton during the weekend and were expecting to get back to winning ways in their visit to Molineux However, things didn’t go down as planned as Wolves. Despite taking the lead early in the second, two goals Podence and Neto were enough cancel out Giroud’s goal and silent the Blues in the final minutes of the game.
Frank Lampard’s Chelsea were more dominant in the opening minutes of the game, caused lots of issues for the Wolves in the final third and got the best chances to take the lead but were unable to register a shot on target throughout the first 45 minutes.

Chelsea almost saw their lead wiped out on the 55tb minute by Net, whose goal was ruled out for offside. Wolves eventually got their equaliser in the after the hour mark. Podence was able to send in a classy finish from the corner spot, beating Mendy, who has badly been scored this season.
In the 80tb minute, Neto went down in the box and penalty was almost given. However, VAR came in to the rescue and after looking at the replay showed the player had no contact with Reece James, who was saide to be the culprit.
Five minutes added time was given to the game and that was all that was needed as in the final minute Neto, who has been very active through out the game, made a break towards goal from the left , broke the ball and slotted home the winner.
The Goal no doubt handed Wolves the win and also Chelsea with their first successive defeat this season. Wolves are now ninth on the Premier League table, whole Chelsea FC are still third, pending results from other teams.
