UFC 256 Results : Deiveson Figueiredo And Brandon Moreno Brutal Battle Ends A Draw

UFC Flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo successfully defended his title for the second time with a draw with Brandon Moreno in the Main Event of UFC 256 on Saturday Night at the UFC Apex.

The two pulled off one of the best fights in UFC History, brutal, bloody and both showed heart from the opening bell. However, Figueiredo was able to retain his titles as the fight couldn’t be decided from the scorecards. The judge’s scored the fight 47-46 for figueiredo. While the other two cards had a 47-47 draw.

The two were fighting for the fighting for the second time in 21 days having both convincingly stopping their opponents at UFC 255.

The opening round was a back and forth battle with the champion aggressivly stalking the Challenger but Moreno grew into the fight and was able to land punches and kicks of his own as they both battled out a very close round.

Figueiredo met his match in the second after Moreno’s confidence grew with both trading bombs. Moreno was able to edge the champion with his workrate coupled with two take downs but the round was marred by an unintentional eye poke, which led to temporaral stoppage.

The third round had more of the same as both fired at themselves with kicks and punches. However another foul by the champion forced Herzog to take one point from the captain stock which ended up the decider at the end of the fight.

The fourth round was the most brutal and bloody round ever witnessed in the UFC as each went out gunning at the other , staging some much violence the MMA community with always be proud off.

The fifth round was more of Figueiredo’s round as Moreno was then fighting with some hand unguru that detereed his output giving Figueiredo the opportunity to get back in the fight.
