Pablo Mari has had a tough time getting back to fitness since injuring his knee back in July. However the defender was sure to enjoy getting on the score sheet by heading home from Nelson’s cross in his first time back in the starting eleven.

The Gunners ran riot with a third goal in the first half, Lacazette begins the build up by pushing the ball over to Pepe, who sends the ball to Nketiah but his first shot is saved by Strebinger, however his second time was a charm, nodding the ball into the bottom corner to give Arsenal a comfortable lead into the break.

Rapid Vienna were able to pull back one early in the second half Kigatawa was able to score after a scramble at the Arsenal box involving Runarsson and Kolasinac. Smith Rowe made the goal difference three again, seconds after coming on with a nice build up including Pepe and Nketiah.
