Unified Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua will stake his IBO, IBF, WBO, WBA Heavyweight world titles against Mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev on the 12th of December at the SSE Arena in Wembley, London.

The ones defeated Bulgarian, Nicknamed “The Cobra” will be making his second attempt to win a world title since losing his first attempt against Wladimir Klitschko in 2014. Pulev will however give up 2 inches in height, when he takes on Anthony Joshua on the 12th.

The fight between the two was first announced back in 2017 but that didn’t come to fruition because Pulev got injured in preparation for the fight and Carlos Takam (35–3–1, 27 KOs) was brought in to replace him. The later got knocked out in the 10th round by Joshua, who retained the IBF, IBO , WBA and WBO Heavyweight world titles.

The fight was announced again on Match 2nd and June 20th was the date but that too didn’t come to fruition as the COVID 19 Pandemic brought everything sports to a standstill, forcing the fight to be postponed to the 12th of December.


The 39 year Old Kubrat Pulev is  muchore experienced in the Art than Joshua and have on his ranks many wars, However, he will be facing a far younger opponent, who has been tested and has athletic characteristics that are beyond Pulev at the moment.

Pulev will try avoiding Joshua’s power and being more of a decision winner will try the hot and move technique, which might not work out as he can’t avoid joshua throughout the 12 rounds.

Anthony Joshua will retain his titles via knockout in the second half of the fight. A KO should be expected from the seventh round when, Joshua’s athletic characteristics will gradually start overwhelming Pulev.

Due to New developments in the world of Sport, about 1000 Fans could attend the event, whose card will also feature other Big UK names such as Lawrence Okolie and Hughie Fury, cousin to WBC Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury.
