Anthony Joshua Defeats Kubrat Pulev 2020

Unified Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua took care of his Mandatory Challenger Kubrat Pulev in examplary fashion, Brutally knocking him out in the Ninth Round to retain his IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO world heavyweight titles at the SSE Arena in Wembley, London.

The fight ended in the ninth round, when Joshua kickstarted a Knockout sequence with a stiff jab that freezed Pulev in his tracks, Joshua unloaded an uppercut on Pulev, which wobbled and dropped him for the second time in the fight. Joshua and Pulev went head to head in the opening round and boxed a tactical fight with Pulev matching Joshua’s Jab with his and connected a rattling left hook on Joshua, who replied back with a big right. Joshua came out firing in the second and was able to connect a stiff Jab on Pulev, who received well and smiled afterwards.

The fight looked to be coming to and end in the third round after Joshua connected a big right that sent Pulev to one knee but the veteran made it to his feet but was then just with another right hand that left the Bulgarian hurt. Some how the 39 year old was able to escape the danger.

Joshua was out to hurt the 39 year old Bulgarian but the Veteran was able to stay save throughout round four and avoided any dangerous blows from Joshua. The fifyhround saw Pulev, who fully recovered was able to connect a big shot in Joshua, re-alerting the boxing world how dangerous he could be.

By round eight, there was no plan of slowing down and brutally went in looking for a knockout but Joshua was able to keep the Bulgarian bay with his Jab. A stiff Jab rattled Puleves legs in the ninth round and a series of upper cut dropped the veteran to the canvas and after he beat the count, making it back to his feet, Joshua knocked him out with a big right hand in the ninth round.
