UFC 255 Results : Tim Means Bloodies Mike Perry, Wins Unanimous decision
Tim Means picked up a very notable unanimous decision victory over Mike Perry on UFC 255 undercard, Saturday night at the Apex Center.
Means was very technical in his approach to the fight, avoiding wild exchanges from Perry while being able to execute a good and consistent offence that left Perry bleeding from his nose and face at the end of the fight. The fight was scored 30-27, 29-28 and 29-28 for means.
The fight that was booked between two strikers almost went sideways after Perry, surprisingly went for a takedown early in the fight and almost ended Means with a rear naked choke but Means found a way to survive.

Means was careful and avoided Perry’s knockout power. He quickly eastablished his Jab and began walking down Perry, whose inability to get behind the jab left him constantly walking into Perry’s straight punches that left his head consistently snapping backwards.
Means had registered his dominance but when it seemed totally over for Perry, the “Dirty Bird” forged forward and wobbled Means momentarily with a big right but ones he recovered, he moved and regained his composed, avoiding any other incoming from Perry.
The last two minutes were the best in the fight as the two went toe to toe trading heavy shots. At the end, Means avoided the slug fest and went back to relying on his straight punches and Jab, which gave him successes earlier in the fight.
Means with the win, is now 3 -1 in his last four outings, while Perry now drops to 7-7 in his overall UFC outings.
