Jose Mourinho’s Spurs have now won five games in a row, capping it with an exceptional performance with two goals from Vinicius and one each from Lucas Moura and Harry Winks. Vinicius was able to net his first goals in Spurs Jersey, while Winks showed, he has an eagle eye with a 54 yards shot.
Mourinho, was able to hand three youngsters their Tottenham debuts in the night and it paid off, starting with the opener in the 16th minute mark. Dele Alli sent Moura a through ball but the ball got intercepted falling into the paths of Vinicius, who unmarked and free, ran with the ball towards the keeper, slotting the ball into the net.
The first 26 minutes reflected the issues the visitors but their woes got doubled in the 34th minute. Ndombele made a big mess of the Lodogorets defence with an incredible 30 yard run but his shot was save by Iliev. The resulting ball fell on Dele Alli’s path, who should have scored but played the ba across to Vinicius, who doubled the lead.
Spurs kept pressing their visitors and forcing them back into their defence, something totally ironic about Mourinho’s pattern of play. Again Spurs were on target and this time Winks delivered a stunner from full 54 yards out. The shot sailed over Iliec, hitting the woodwork before dipping in.
Ten minutes later, Spurs went 4 – 0 with Lodogorets having to pay for an unnecessary mistake while trying to play from the back. Substitute Hojgbjerg sent a pass to Alli, who sends a low cross into the bbox, Vinicius sets up unmarked Moura for the goal and he made no mistake.
