Jon Jones Rubbishes Fighting Adesanya And Blachowicz, Sets Sight At Heavyweight Gold

Jon Jones Remains Undefeated

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has set his sight at becoming a two division champion and won’t allow the Jan Blachowicz Vs Isreal Adesanya super fight be a distraction to that ambition.

Jones, who has been involved in several spats with the Middleweight Champion doesn’t see any use in fighting Jan Blachowicz or Israel Adesanya as according to him, defeating them will not add to his legacy. However, moving up to Heavyweight and defeating Stipe Miocic for the Heavyweight title will definitely go down in history.

“You’re joking right?” Jones wrote in response to a fan. “I’ve been making millions since my early 20s, I don’t need a super fight with anyone. Fighting guys like Jan and Izzy does nothing for my legacy, winning the Heavyweight belt is the only thing that can bring me any higher than I already am. Facts.”

“Outside of a gigantic payday, [Adesanya] does nothing for me,” he added. “Anderson [Silva] was the man to beat in that weight class, not him. The next biggest legacy move for me is Stipe [Miocic] and I want all the smoke.”

The mega fight between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic has been talked about but the Two time heavyweight champion hasn’t indicated interest and it still very unclear, if the UFC will put them both any time soon or give the No. 1 contender Francis Ngannou a rematch.

Bones really spent sometime replying tweets from Fans, who mostly criticised his recent move up to the Heavyweight division because Adesanya has declared interest in moving up to light heavyweight and the long speculated match up with the two could eventually take place sometime in the future.

Joyce was last seen in the Octagon back in February, when he won a decision over Dominick Reyes in his third straight Light Heavyweight title defence. Jones defended the light heavyweight crown eleven successful times, remaining undefeated.

The promotion has made known, preparations are presently on going for a fight between UFC light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz and Isreal Adesanya, who takes a leap up to the 205 pound division with hopes of becoming a two weight champion.
