Bellator 252 Results : Patricio Freire KOs Pedro Carvalho In R1, Sanchez Advance With Decision

Bellator Featherweight Champion Patricio “Pibull” Freire successfully defended his belt with a vicious first round Knockout win over Pedro Carvalho at Bellator 252 headlining Bout on Thursday night at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.
The fight kicked off with the champ making his intent known with counters and combinations, before finishing off Carvalho with a vicious left hook which was complimented by a straight right.
Carvalho crashed to the canvas. With the referee immediately stoping the fight at exactly 2:10 minutes into the first round. The win now sees “Pitbull” move forward into the next stage of the Bellator Featherweight tournament.

“It’s almost impossible to take my right hand on the chin and keep standing, and I knew that,” said Freire, who advances in the $1 million 145-pound tournament to rematch Emmanuel Sanchez, a fighter he beat via unanimous decision in 2018. The other bracket sees A.J. McKee square off with Darrion Caldwell.
Yaroslav Amosov in the Co-Headliner was able to retain his unbeaten record advancing to 25-0 after earning a slit decision victory over Logan Storley. However, it wasn’t an easy task as he was forced into deep trouble and was saved.
Yaroslav Amosov was almost passing out in the final moments of the three round battle as Storley kept sinking in his rear naked choke attempts. Storley made those submission attempt as his last resort after things looked to be going south and he was tiring out.
The scores were 29-28 on two score cards for Amosov with the third Judge giving a 29-28 for Storley, who was subjected to his first professional career loss.
