Jamaica 1 – 4 Australia Football Highlights
A second goal in three games for the skipper.
Sam Kerr, who is picked out by an inch-perfect cross from the left, sees the keeper off her line and loops a header over Nicole McClure.
Goal : 42′ 0 – 2 Sam Kerr
Unmarked and deadly.
You just can’t let Sam Kerr have chances like that! It’s probably one of the easiest goals she will score.
A simple ball is pinged in from the right and she just nods it into the net. Easy as that.
Goal: 49′ Havana Solaun 1 – 2
What a moment this is. It’s historic! Jamaica have scored their first EVER Women’s World Cup goal.
Half-time substitute Havana Solaun is the goalscorer and Khadija Shaw is behind it all.
She plays a brilliant through ball into Solaun’s path and the Jamaican coolly rounds the keeper and rolls it into the far corner, in between two backtracking defenders.
Goal : 69′ 1 – 3 Sam Kerr
Oh, this is not what Jamaica wanted! It’s delight for Australia captain Sam Kerr though, who has her hat-trick.
Hayley Raso skips past the full-back, fires a ball in from the right and it bounces off Sashana Campbell.
Kerr only has to poke the loose ball into the back of the net from a few yards out.
Goal : 83′ 1 – 4 Sam Kerr
An absolute shocker. Nicole McClure won’t ever want to see this again.
The Jamaican keeper receives a simple pass back from Konya Plummer but panics when Sam Kerr is chasing her down.
She ends up kicking air instead of the ball and Kerr comes bounding in and pokes into an open net.
