France 4 – 0 Korea Republic Football Highlights
Venue : Parc de Princes
Date : 7th June, 2019
Goal : 9′ Eugenie Le Sommer 1 – 0
It’s that deadly duo of Amandine Henry and Eugenie Le Sommer that threatened to dominate this match.
Henry skips away down the right and cuts it back into the centre for Le Sommer, who makes a brilliant run in off the left wing.
She hits it first time, up and into the roof of the net. That’s the first goal of the 2019 World Cup and it goes to the hosts!
VAR Rules Out GOAL :27′ Griedge Mbock Bathy
They have ruled it out for offside. Griedge Mbock Bathy’s toe is literally outside the line. Wow.
Goal : 35′ Wendie Renard 2 – 0
They thought it was 2-0… it is now!
And there’s that Wendie Renard set-piece goal. She left completely unmarked – which is simply criminal – and she just has to nod in the corner which is swung in from the right.
It’s straight into the keeper’s bottom right corner and there’s nothing she can do about it.
Goal : 45′ Wendie Renard 3 – 0
Oh, she’s done it again! The centre-back peels away from her marker but still has plenty to do when the ball flies her way deep into the box.
She gets so much power on it and it flies into the top left corner. Excellent head, excellent start from France and excellent start to this World Cup.
Goal : 85′ Amandine Henry 4 – 0
OH MY! What a goal this is!
Amandine Henry glides through midfield and nobody wants to touch her. She just edges closer and closer to the box before curling an outrageous strike, which ripples the inside of the right corner.
Inch-perfect and unstoppable. Pick that one out!
