John Ryder Drops And KOs Bilal Akkawy In Round 3,Wins WBA Belt
The super middleweight fight between John Ryder and Bilal Akkawy started out own and attracted boos from the spectators but in no time featured fireworks in Canelo-Jacobs undercard.
Ryder was initially scheduled to fight David Lemieux in the co-main event but was brought down the Card, after Lemieux pulled out last month due to a hand injury.
After a dull first round, Ryder landed connected heavy right hands in the third and scored two knockdowns and was close to scoring a third when the referee intervened to end the fight.

The boos were heard because the fighters had refused to engage in any exchange in the first round but the fight picked momentum in the second round, when Ryder attacked using speed, while Akkawy replied with some combinations of his own.
The fight then ended early, as Ryder rocked and dropped Akkawy for the secknd time in the third round, and after few seconds on some onesided beating, the referee jumped in to stop the fight.
