Jermall Charlo Vs Brandon Adams, Browne – Pascal Rescheduled For 6/19
Jermall Chalo will be defending his WBC interim middleweight title against Brandon Adams in a Card supported by WBA interim light heavyweight champ Marcus Browne, who also defends his title against his secondary 175-pound crown against former WBC champ Jean Pascal in a double header main event on June 29 at NRG Arena, Houston.
The fight was initially scheduled for June 8 or June 15 but was rescheduled to June 29 to eliminate head-to-head competition for viewership from Gennady Golovkin’s fight against Steve Rolls on June 8 at Madison Square Garden in New York (DAZN) and the Tyson Fury-Tom Schwarz heavyweight bout June 15 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Charlo (28-0, 21 KOs) is coming off a tough decision win over Russian southpaw Matt Korobov in December 22, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. His challenger Brandon Adams (21-2, 13 KOs) soundly defeated Shane Mosley Jr. (13-3, 8 KOs) by unanimous decision in the season finale of the season five of “The Contender” late last year.

Marcus Browne will be defending the secondary title he won by easily out-boxing Sweden’s Jack (22-2-3, 13 KOs) on the Manny Pacquiao-Adrien Broner undercard at MGM Grand Garden Arena. Jack fought with a bad cut on his forehead and just couldn’t match Browne, who won on points 119-108, 117-110 and 116-111.
Pascal (33-6-1, 20 KOs, 1 NC) on the other hand, is coming off a one-sided, 12-round decision loss to WBA’s true light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol (16-0, 11 KOs) in his last fight, November 24 at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
