Brandon Rios vs. Humberto Soto Results, Fight Card, Preview
Former World Champions Brandon Rios (35-4-1, 26 KO’s) and Humberto Soto (68-9-2, 37 KO’s) will exchange leather for one more time at the Municipal Auditorium in Tijuana on Saturday, February 23.
Both fighters are looking for a way back into title contention and a loss to any of the two will leave retirement, a strong option.
Brandon Rios, the younger of the two is a seasoned brawler. Fought many wars which made him a fan friendly fighter but has forty less fights than Soto at this stage of his career and his style might never allow a career that long.
Soto on the other hand, has won WBA featherweight, the WBO and WBC super featherweight and the WBC lightweight titles in his trophy case and will be heading into his 80th fight in 22 professional year. He will be fighting for the first time at welterweight his highest ever fighting limit and might be his final.
The fight brings in the question marks on what is really left of the two former Champions with both planning to make it back to the big stage, if victorious.
