Oleksandr Usyk Outclassed Murat Gassiev in Russia to Unify Cruiserweight Division

Oleksandr Usyk dominated the hard hitting Murat Gassiev through twelve rounds to unify the IBF and WBA Cruiserweight titles to his own WBC and WBO beltsb becomimg the first four belt champion of the division.
Usyk (15-0, 11 KOs) 31, was given the nod by judges – Americans Mauro Di Fiore (119-109) and Robin Taylor (120-108) and Belgium’s Philippe Verbeke (119-109). Doing his in just 15 professional fights.
Gassiev advanced to the final by knocking out Cuba’s Yunier Dorticos (22-1, 21 KOs) in the 12th round of their semifinal February 3 in Sochi, Russia while Usyk reached the final by beating Mairis Briedis (24-1, 18 KOs) by majority decision in their semifinal January 27 in Riga, Latvia, Briedis’ hometown.
He also won the Ali Trophy and a WBA special belt in the process
“First of all, we need to take a rest after this difficult fight. After that, I will sit with my team and we will make a decision,” said Usyk.
“At this time I have heard that Tony Bellew wants to fight the winner of the Muhammad Ali Trophy. I hope he will see me talking…. ‘hey Tony Bellew, are you ready?’
“If he doesn’t want to go down, I will go up for him. I will eat more spaghetti for my dinner!”
