Simona Halep finally lifted a maiden Grand Slam title and banished her demons from her defeat in the final last year as she beat Sloane Stephens 3-6 6-4 6-1 to win the French Open. At 26, she had lost all three of her Slam finals going into this match, including last year’s final against Jelena Ostapenko.
