WBO featherweight champion Shakur Stevenson made a successful 130 pound debut against Felix Caraballo, working him down to a sixth round stoppage victory in a non title fight at the MGM Grand Conference Center on Tuesday night.

Stevenson toyed with his opponent, breaking him down with every shot before, eventually ending the fight with a big body shot in the sixth round. The shot sent Caraballo to his knees and his gloves on the canvas and while stuck there because of the pains, the referee Tony Weeks was forced to end the fight at exactly 1:31 of the sixth.

With the win, the 2016 silver medallist Stevenson retained his unbeaten record and improved to (14-0, 8KOs). Stevenson was placed a 100-1 favourite, heading into the fight and he proved right the bookmarkers by winning all the five rounds (50-44, 50-44, 50-43) before the stoppage, dropping Caraballo (13-2-2, 9 KOs) twice in the first round…

↑ Grab this Headline Animator Long reigning Junior lightweight titlist Miguel Berchelt made a successful lightweight debut with a sixth round stoppage victory over Eleazar Valenzuela at a crowdless TV Azteca studio lot in Mexico City on Saturday evening. An event televised by ESPN.

Berchelt, who plans on moving back to his natural weight after his adventure at Lightweight, connected a series of unanswered right hooks and left hooks till the referee Cesar Castanon intervened at exactly 1:15 of the sixth round.

Berchelt started out slow working behind his Jab and was able to steal some good moments but was eventually made to pay. The bell was accidentally sounded with over a minute to go in the first round but both were able to fight through the error and Berchelt was able to still a big shot that floored Valenzuela before the bell was heard to end the round.

Mick Perry made his way back to the win Column with a unanimous decision victory over Mickey Gall at UFC On ESPN 12 Co-Main event on Saturday night at the Apex Center in Las Vegas. An event broadcasted Live on ESPN/ESPN+.

Perry entered the fight on the back of a controversy as he only wanted his girl friend in his corner instead of having coaches. However, he went ahead despite warnings from professionals and ended up with one of his best career performances.

The first round was the most close of all three rounds as both did well making exchanges on feet but Gall edged out the best despite Perry scoring a late takedown. It was pretty clear Gall had the better of the exchanges.

Jason Maloney bloodied and stopped Leonardo Baez in seven rounds to win the Bantamweight at the MGM Grand Conference Center on Wednesday night in Las Vegas.

The fight started out with Baez, choosing to be the aggressor and forcing out a strong Jab, while Maloney worked more on the counter and picked his shots carefully. The second round was more of a back and fourth battle as both went in the inside.

The former UFC interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier was the first to to hit the scales and tipped it to 156 pounds, while his opponent Dan Hooker went on 10bm8nutes later tipping it at 155.5 pounds.
