WBO featherweight champion Shakur Stevenson made a successful 130 pound debut against Felix Caraballo, working him down to a sixth round stoppage victory in a non title fight at the MGM Grand Conference Center on Tuesday night.

Stevenson toyed with his opponent, breaking him down with every shot before, eventually ending the fight with a big body shot in the sixth round. The shot sent Caraballo to his knees and his gloves on the canvas and while stuck there because of the pains, the referee Tony Weeks was forced to end the fight at exactly 1:31 of the sixth.

With the win, the 2016 silver medallist Stevenson retained his unbeaten record and improved to (14-0, 8KOs). Stevenson was placed a 100-1 favourite, heading into the fight and he proved right the bookmarkers by winning all the five rounds (50-44, 50-44, 50-43) before the stoppage, dropping Caraballo (13-2-2, 9 KOs) twice in the first round…

Jan Błachowicz clears way for a title shot with a spectacular knockout victory over Corey Anderson in the first round right in front of the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones in the main event of UFC on ESPN+ 25 in Rio Rancho.

Jan Blachwicz (26-8 MMA, 9-5 UFC) has been among the contenders in the 205 pound division but was never really considered top, blasted Błachowicz out cold with a wicked right hand at exactly 3:03 minutes of the opening round at the Santa Ana Star Arena on Saturday night.
“I know I am one of the best,” said Blachowicz, who had gestured toward Jones after the fight. “I proved that I am the next contender for a title shot.”
The fight promised a knockout from the opening bell with both fighters trying to find their range early in the fight.

Corey Anderson,who is known mostly for his wrestling delayed taking that route but when he eventually tried was blasted with a wicked right hand from Błachowicz that sent him tumbling to the canvas another big right hand connected on Anderson before the referee intervened to stop the fight.

The victory meant Jan Błachowicz is now in a three fight winning streak , winning seven ogf his last eight outings and stopping three of his last four opponents and to crown it all, fed Anderson a perfect revenge.

Błachowicz snapped Andersons five fight winning streak snapped with this now making four of his five losses coming by way of a KO.
