WBO featherweight champion Shakur Stevenson made a successful 130 pound debut against Felix Caraballo, working him down to a sixth round stoppage victory in a non title fight at the MGM Grand Conference Center on Tuesday night.

Stevenson toyed with his opponent, breaking him down with every shot before, eventually ending the fight with a big body shot in the sixth round. The shot sent Caraballo to his knees and his gloves on the canvas and while stuck there because of the pains, the referee Tony Weeks was forced to end the fight at exactly 1:31 of the sixth.

With the win, the 2016 silver medallist Stevenson retained his unbeaten record and improved to (14-0, 8KOs). Stevenson was placed a 100-1 favourite, heading into the fight and he proved right the bookmarkers by winning all the five rounds (50-44, 50-44, 50-43) before the stoppage, dropping Caraballo (13-2-2, 9 KOs) twice in the first round…

Nordine Oubaali will defend his WBC bantamweight title against interim tale holder Takoma Inoue on November 7 in Saitama, Japan. This was announced during a press conference, held on Monday. 

Both unbeaten fighters had been involved in intense negotiation about the date and location of the event and now that it's finalized Inoue expressed his happiness in the completion and promised not to lose. 
“It's finally decided,” the younger Inoue declared on Monday. “I'm looking forward to joining my brother in the ring and I will not lose.”

Takoma Inoue will be fighting on the same card with his brother Naoya Inoue, since last May and this time, they both be fighting for World titles at their respective weight classes. three-division titlist and pound-for-pound star Naoya Inoue (18-0, 16KOs) will fight four division champion Nonito Donaire (40-5, 26KOs) in the WBSS Bantamweight Finals.

Oubaali has defended the WBC bantamweight title only ones via a sixth round KO of Arthur Villanueva in July before he began talks for the potential clash with Takoma.

Takoma Inoue won the WBC interim title with a 12 round Unanimous Decision over formerly unbeaten Petch Sor Chitpattana back in December.
