WBO featherweight champion Shakur Stevenson made a successful 130 pound debut against Felix Caraballo, working him down to a sixth round stoppage victory in a non title fight at the MGM Grand Conference Center on Tuesday night.

Stevenson toyed with his opponent, breaking him down with every shot before, eventually ending the fight with a big body shot in the sixth round. The shot sent Caraballo to his knees and his gloves on the canvas and while stuck there because of the pains, the referee Tony Weeks was forced to end the fight at exactly 1:31 of the sixth.

With the win, the 2016 silver medallist Stevenson retained his unbeaten record and improved to (14-0, 8KOs). Stevenson was placed a 100-1 favourite, heading into the fight and he proved right the bookmarkers by winning all the five rounds (50-44, 50-44, 50-43) before the stoppage, dropping Caraballo (13-2-2, 9 KOs) twice in the first round…

WBC and Ring Magazine Super-Flyweight Champion Juan Francesco Estrada will defend his titles against Dewayne Beamon at the Centro de Usos Múltiples in Hermosillo on Saturday August 24, live on DAZN in the US and on Sky Sports in the UK.

Estrada became a a two weight world champion by defeating the long reigning Flyweight king Sor Rungvisai in the rematch of their 2018 fight of the year entrant.

“Thank God, my talent, effort and discipline I've accomplished a lot of dreams that I had as a kid,” said Estrada. “Now my objective is to defend my title in Hermosillo and break an attendance record of 10,000 persons in CUM (Centro de Usos Múltiples) that exists since 1991 in a fight of Maromero Páez vs. "Cocas" Ramírez.

Beamon (16-1-1 11 KOs)  is set to stun the world in his first world title fight, having already revenged the only blemish on his record, he believes it's time to make everyone know what he is capable of doing and the Pound For Pound star is the best to start.
