Heavyweight contender Alistair Overeem was really the center of attraction as Walt Harris received such an emotional welcome back to the cage following the death of his Daughter but was able to do everything necessary to take home a win in the UFC on ESPN 8 headliner on Saturday night at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville Florida, broadcasted Live on ESPN.

Overeem (46-18 MMA, 11-7 UFC) was part of those fighters , who showed care when Harris went through those trying times but kept to his word to stick to business when they eventually met in Saturday night. Overeem was able to overcome the early charge from Harris, scored a highlight reel TKO victory at exactly 3:00 of the second round.

The 6-feet-5, 241-pound Ajagba, a 2016 Olympian from Nigeria, with the win improved to 10-0, 9 KOs. Curtis Harper win was his only without a KO, He infamously fled the ring right after the opening bell eight Months ago.

Wallisch (19-2, 12 KOs), who fights out of Germany, lost via knockout for the second straight time. He came into this fight on tge back of a fifth round knockout loss to Germany’s Christian Hammer (24-6, 14 KOs) backbone December 15 in Hamburg.

Robert Easter Jr. and Rances Barthélemy fought to a split draw in their title bout on Saturday night. The Judge Tim Cheatham scored their disappointingly dull 12 round fight 115-113 for Easter. Judge Eric Cheek scored it 115-113 for Barthélemy, while the third judge Glenn Trowbridge, had it even (114-114).

The bout actually lacked action in many rounds and some with no notable punch. With the result, the WBA world lightweight title remains vacant because the fighters couldn't win the main event of Showtime’s tripleheader from The Chelsea inside The Cosmopolitan.

Regis Prograis defeated Kiryl Relikh via a sixth round knockout in the WBSS Semi Finals on Saturday evening and by doing so snatched the WBA super-lightweight title from the Belarusian, also entering the WBSS Final.

Progrias, which was fighting in his hometown dominated the one Sided fight on the way to the first professional title of his career.

Relikh got injured in the first round of the fight and had to struggle through it, leaving Progrias with all the advantages. Prograis scored a first round Knock Down with a body shot after the injury.
