WBO featherweight champion Shakur Stevenson made a successful 130 pound debut against Felix Caraballo, working him down to a sixth round stoppage victory in a non title fight at the MGM Grand Conference Center on Tuesday night.

Stevenson toyed with his opponent, breaking him down with every shot before, eventually ending the fight with a big body shot in the sixth round. The shot sent Caraballo to his knees and his gloves on the canvas and while stuck there because of the pains, the referee Tony Weeks was forced to end the fight at exactly 1:31 of the sixth.

With the win, the 2016 silver medallist Stevenson retained his unbeaten record and improved to (14-0, 8KOs). Stevenson was placed a 100-1 favourite, heading into the fight and he proved right the bookmarkers by winning all the five rounds (50-44, 50-44, 50-43) before the stoppage, dropping Caraballo (13-2-2, 9 KOs) twice in the first round…

MatchRoom Boxing in partnership with Opi since 82 returns to Italy with an action packed cardc headlined by Undefeated  rising star Fabio Turchi (16-0, 12 KOs)  who fights against WBC International Cruiserweight champion Frenchman Jean Jacques Olivier (10-2, 7 KOs) at the Tuscany Hall, Florence, Italy. 

Turchi is coming off a seventh-round stoppage win over former Commonwealth Champion Tony Conquest in November, when successfully defended his WBC silver title. 

On the card, Orlando Fiordigiglio (30-2, 13 KOs) will fight former WBO European Champion Stephen Danyo (15-2-3, 6 KOs) for the vacant IBF International Super-Welterweight title, with hopes of a future showdown with current World title holder Jarrett Hurd.

Homeboy Undefeated Tuscany KO artist Allesandro Riguccini (22-0, 18 KOs) will be making the first defense of his WBC International Welterweight title against  Ivan Alvarez (28-9-1, 18 KOs), after winning the title in his last time out against Andres Villaman in October.

Roma’s former World title challenger and European Middleweight Champion Emanuele Blandamura (28-3, 5 KOs), European Super-Featherweight Champion Devis Boschiero (46-6-2, 21 KOs), Current European Middleweight Official Challenger Matteo Signani (27-5-3, 10 KOs), Flyweight talent Mohammed Obbadi (18-1, 12 KOs) and Roma Super-Welterweight Mirko Natalizi (3-0, 2 KOs) complete the card.
