WBO featherweight champion Shakur Stevenson made a successful 130 pound debut against Felix Caraballo, working him down to a sixth round stoppage victory in a non title fight at the MGM Grand Conference Center on Tuesday night.

Stevenson toyed with his opponent, breaking him down with every shot before, eventually ending the fight with a big body shot in the sixth round. The shot sent Caraballo to his knees and his gloves on the canvas and while stuck there because of the pains, the referee Tony Weeks was forced to end the fight at exactly 1:31 of the sixth.

With the win, the 2016 silver medallist Stevenson retained his unbeaten record and improved to (14-0, 8KOs). Stevenson was placed a 100-1 favourite, heading into the fight and he proved right the bookmarkers by winning all the five rounds (50-44, 50-44, 50-43) before the stoppage, dropping Caraballo (13-2-2, 9 KOs) twice in the first round…

Deontay Wilder Vs Dominic Breazeale Set For May 18th On SHOWTIME

The WBC Heavyweight World Champion Deontay Wilder will be making his mandatory defense against Dominic  Breazeale on May 18th, as announced on Tuesday. The fight will be distributed by Showtime Championship Boxing, Live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The fight which will not be on Pay-per-view view as calculated, will be staged two weeks before Anthony Joshua defends his IBF, IBO, WBA and WBO world heavyheavyw titles against Jarrell Miller at Madison Square Garden. 
Before the finalization of the fight, He was been targeted by DAZN for a Multi Million dollar switch to the new boxing Streaming service but the 33 year old opted to stay with SHOWTIME and PBC.

Wilder is riding into this fight on the back of a twelve round controversial draw against heavyweight contender Tyson Fury at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Before the draw, he had won all but One of his previous fights by KO and had knocked out his previous 39 opponents.

Dominic Breazeale is on a 3 fight winning streak, since his KO loss to Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua and two of those fight was fought at the Barclays Center.
