WBO featherweight champion Shakur Stevenson made a successful 130 pound debut against Felix Caraballo, working him down to a sixth round stoppage victory in a non title fight at the MGM Grand Conference Center on Tuesday night.

Stevenson toyed with his opponent, breaking him down with every shot before, eventually ending the fight with a big body shot in the sixth round. The shot sent Caraballo to his knees and his gloves on the canvas and while stuck there because of the pains, the referee Tony Weeks was forced to end the fight at exactly 1:31 of the sixth.

With the win, the 2016 silver medallist Stevenson retained his unbeaten record and improved to (14-0, 8KOs). Stevenson was placed a 100-1 favourite, heading into the fight and he proved right the bookmarkers by winning all the five rounds (50-44, 50-44, 50-43) before the stoppage, dropping Caraballo (13-2-2, 9 KOs) twice in the first round…

We Need Control And Intensity At Every Point - Emery

23/8/2018

Arsenal Boss Unai Emery has watched his new side lose their first two games of the season against Chelsea and Manchester City but believes his team could flip the switch to the winning side against West HamHUnited this weekend.

He also admitted his team lacked concentration in their first two games, which has left them languishing in 16th position on the PL table.
"My idea is control," said the Spaniard. "Control in the game - but the opposition want the same thing.

"I know we need intensity in every moment in the games. This control is to not let the opposition do their work, their play.

"For me, we didn't have the control in our first two matches. Saturday is another match, tactically it is different. I want to have more control to find the win in this match."

The Spaniard has been criticised for his style of play and decision to play out from the back but he insists, he is happy with the way the team is adapting.

"We want to go forward and score. Maybe we can do it with one long pass directly or progress with the passes, control with possession to win games," he said.

"We can find [well-worked] goals like we did against Chelsea and we can find them with less passes on the pitch.
"For me the important thing is all the players know in each match the best way to attack."
