WBO featherweight champion Shakur Stevenson made a successful 130 pound debut against Felix Caraballo, working him down to a sixth round stoppage victory in a non title fight at the MGM Grand Conference Center on Tuesday night.

Stevenson toyed with his opponent, breaking him down with every shot before, eventually ending the fight with a big body shot in the sixth round. The shot sent Caraballo to his knees and his gloves on the canvas and while stuck there because of the pains, the referee Tony Weeks was forced to end the fight at exactly 1:31 of the sixth.

With the win, the 2016 silver medallist Stevenson retained his unbeaten record and improved to (14-0, 8KOs). Stevenson was placed a 100-1 favourite, heading into the fight and he proved right the bookmarkers by winning all the five rounds (50-44, 50-44, 50-43) before the stoppage, dropping Caraballo (13-2-2, 9 KOs) twice in the first round…

Maurizio Sarri's Undroppable Midfield Players Given By Pat Nevin

Maurizio Sarri's Undroppable Midfield Players Given By Pat Nevin

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri brought in Jorginho first Stamford Bridge, then Rob Green, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Mateo Kovacic followed suit and Jorginho seems to be the only settled player in them all.

According to Chelsea Legend Pat Nevin, Sarri's new formation (4-3-3) has fitted perfectly with Jorginho and Kante leaving just a sport left for the remaining midfielders ( Cesc Fabregas, Barkley, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Danny Drinkwater and now Mateo Kovacic) in the team

"Talking of Ross Barkley, it brings back the discussion of what will be the manager’s first-choice midfield three as the season develops?," Nevin wrote for Chelsea’s official website .

"N’Golo Kante, obviously, is undroppable in any shape or form and Jorginho is the gaffer’s man, so should get an initial run in the team.

"That leaves Cesc Fabregas, Barkley, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Danny Drinkwater and now Mateo Kovacic all fighting for that one spot.

"There is even the possibility that if you play [Eden] Hazard and Willian wide up front, Pedro might stick his oar in for that particular berth. I mentioned this last week and have been ruminating on it ever since.

"The short answer is that the manager can adapt and change for different games and the different styles of teams we are up against. Whether it is home or away might also have an effect.
