Gunners Striker Alexandre Lacazette Out For Over Six Weeks

Arsenal Striker has been ruled out for over six weeks after going undergoing minor knee surgery.

His absence will see him miss the round of 32 Europa League clash With Swedish side Ostersunds, as well as the League Cup final against Manchester City later this month.

"Lacazette had an arthroscopy on his left knee in London on Tuesday morning," Arsenal said in a statement on their website.

"The minor procedure was a success and he will now undergo a period of rehabilitation. It is envisaged that he will return to the squad within four to six weeks."

Lacazette last played in the 1-0 loss to Tottenham, substituted in the 65th minute on the 10th of February in Wembley.

The Frenchman has scored nine goals for the Gunners since his arrival from Olympique Lyon Naismith, he has only found the net on one occasion so far in 2018 and missed two good chances to score in last weekend's 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the league.

Arsene Wenger will try growing over his absence as the set sights for a good first Leg of the Europa League, having only Danny Welbeck and Eddie Nketiah for the Clash  season their record Signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang cup-tied in Europe.
