WBO featherweight champion Shakur Stevenson made a successful 130 pound debut against Felix Caraballo, working him down to a sixth round stoppage victory in a non title fight at the MGM Grand Conference Center on Tuesday night.

Stevenson toyed with his opponent, breaking him down with every shot before, eventually ending the fight with a big body shot in the sixth round. With the win, the 2016 silver medallist Stevenson retained his unbeaten record and improved to (14-0, 8KOs). Stevenson was placed a 100-1 favourite, heading into the fight and he proved right the bookmarkers by winning all the five rounds (50-44, 50-44, 50-43) before the stoppage, dropping Caraballo (13-2-2, 9 KOs) twice in the first round…

The IBF, IBO, WBA Heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs) will put his titles on the line against the WBO Heavyweight Champion Joseph Parker (24-0, 18 KOs) for unification at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales on On March 31st.

In this particular fight, according to Parker's trainer Kevin Barry there is rematch clause Anthony Joshua can activate if he loses his belts to Parker and believes Team Joshua is legitimately worried that their fighter will lose.

"The reason why there is a rematch clause is because they are actually worried that they will lose the fight." Barry told BoxingScene.com.

"Let's remember that both of these guys - Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker - are not the finished product. They are still learning their trade and still developing. They are still becoming better. Joe at 26 is the youngest fighter in anyone's top ten so of course Joshua and his people were going to put a rematch clause in the contract because when Joe beats him they need to try to get their belts back"

"I am pretty sure in a lot of other fights he has had there wasn't a rematch clause in the contract."
